Uusia tietoja - New information

Hei taas, lukijat. 

Tässä istun jälleen. Olen penkonut äidinäitini isälinjaa. Olen saanut selville, että siinä linjassa mennään sekä Ikaalisiin että Ilmajoelle. On tullut uusia sukunimiä kuvioihin. Aika jännittävää, myönnetään. Minä kun luulin Ikaalisten olevan kaukaisin paikka, minne äidinäitini isälinja vie. Mutta se vie myös muualle. Ja minä olin aivan varma, että se vie vain sinne, missä äitini äidinisä on syntynyt. Mutta ei. Linjassa tulee vastaan muitakin paikkakuntia. Mutta tietenkin kartta oli noina aikoina erilainen ja kuntien rajat eri paikassa kuin nykyään. Ja läänien rajatkin olivat ihan eri paikasa. Ja rajat vaihtelivat hirveästi. Nykyäänhän ne eivät palon enää muutu. Ja minä kun luulin, että ne rajat, jotka minu lapsuudessani oli määritetty, pysyisivät aina.

Here I am again. I have been researching my maternal grandmother's paternal line. I have found out that that line goes to both Ikaalinen and Ilmajoki. New surnames have appeared in the patterns. Quite exciting, I admit. I thought Ikaalinen was the furthest place my maternal grandmother's paternal line took me. But it also takes me elsewhere. And I was absolutely sure that it only took me to where my mother's maternal grandfather was born. But no. There are other places on the line. But of course the map was different in those days and the municipal borders were in a different place than they are today. And the county borders were also in a completely different place. And the borders varied terribly. Nowadays, they don't change at all. And I thought that the borders that were determined in my childhood would always remain.
